We've been busy

Our community center has now been officially opened by the Mayor Of Okahandja.

It's suppose to be spring, but it's already HOT ! We're building a wading pool for the kids.

My brother and his wife came to visit and he helped us put up gutters. Now we can collect all that lovely summer rain that's coming soon.
In the studio we have been especially busy because we are preparing for a show and for my annual trip to the USA.  Here is Rosalia at the wheel. What a beautiful smile.

Johannes is our newest artisan. He is a high school student, and is busy learning the wheel. He seems to have a natural talent for it, and didn't even struggle learning to center. I am jealous :) here he is putting dots on a bead.

The new bead room at the community center.
Finally, after  years we have almost everything under one roof ! Here's Lucia 1 and Emalie 2  busy assembling jewelry with our hand made beads.

Last weekend we had a soap making party. I showed how to make soap from olive oil, Marula oil, and beef tallow. Here I am pouring into molds recycled from the bottoms of plastic drink bottles

We just got back from the annual Artist Trail show in Omaruru Namibia

Now we have less than 3 weeks to finish making, documenting for customs and packing up for our trip to the USA.
